Things were gonna get pretty bad if I didn't act right away..
It was just about 5PM and the kids were going berserk.
We HAD to separate them.
So I told my 6-year old son to get his butt in the car for a ride.
Wes was pretty upset..
He knows that a "car ride" meant that we were going to the store to get milk.
Not today buddy..
We went to the arcade.
Ok, it's not REALLY an arcade..
It's this nerd store that has a few 90s arcade machines set to free play.
We spent an hour playing Gauntlet Legends and it was glorious.
We went back home happy and the rest of the evening was pretty smooth (except for the slime incident, but I promised the kids I wouldn't talk about it anymore..)
Bottom line is that sometimes you just gotta get out of a nasty situation and do something fun.
